By leaving the highlands behind, we will descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as you can see. We will head the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife, well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. These two days will be spent on a game drive inside Serengeti National Park. The areas we visit depend upon where the migrating herds are (predators usually follow closely behind the trekking animals). During the short rainy season in November and December the herds move from the hills in the north to the plains in the south. During the longer rainy season from April to June they return up centra Serengeti, while in July to October they are in North Serengeti. The yearly trek is determined by the rainfalls and the location of the herds might vary from year to year but the guide will know where to find the animals and where to see them best. Apart from wildebeests and zebras you will also spot predators such as lions, leopards and cheetahs as well as all big fives. You will have enough time to venture the Serengeti Park with its heart Seronera river or grumeti river depends on the location we will be.

After early breakfast we will descend over 600 meters to the crater for a game drive for a half day’s safari tour. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park, its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. This is only the pack that you can easily see black Rhino than any other park. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater and act as home for flamingos and hippos. Apart from animal, the park has most wonderful landscape and its very beautiful caldera park. You will have lunch in the picnic site. In the afternoon, after lunch we will depart the crater and drive back to Moshi/Arusha time.
