Tour Plan

01 Transfer to the Coffee Farm (Kopakakidutegure) - Lake Kivu

On this day, your assigned driver guide will pick you up from your designated address in Entebbe or Kigali and proceed to Lake Kivu via the coffee farm for the experience of how coffee is harvested, cultivated, dried, preserved, and processed finally you will have a taste about the African garden coffee. Later in the afternoon head to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

02 Transfer to Bwindi

On this day, have an early morning breakfast that has been worked on through habituation, and see the sights of their silver patch. From there, you will transfer to the Gorilla land, which is Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in Uganda. The road trip takes you through the beautiful Kigezi land with dinner and overnight at the lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

03 Gorilla Tracking And Transfer To Lake Bunyonyi

Have an early morning breakfast and take a short drive to the briefing point. Enjoy the biggest highlight of this tour, Gorilla trekking may last for about 3 to 6 hours, depending on the gorilla family you’re assigned to visit. You will trek through the rainforest and bamboo-covered slopes, escorted by the Uganda Wildlife Authority guide and other guest trackers, on the lookout for the mountain gorilla family. The trekking can sometimes be hard and long, but as soon as you catch a glimpse of the beautiful silverback, any discomfort will be forgotten. As a result of the nature of the activity, you will eat a packed lunch in the forest. After mountain Gorilla trekking, you will embark on a drive through the terraced hills to Lake Bunyonyi. Alongside canoeing, there are a lot of optional activities like swimming, hiking highland trails along the lake shores, nature walks, and having a chance to associate with the local people with small residents and exotic bird species singing. 04 Canoe ride on Lake Bunyonyi and transfer to Kigali City

After breakfast, check out of the lodge and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for a guided canoe ride. You will later get set for a to Kigali city. You will transfer to the airport with the memory of the great, rare mountain apes. Lunch en route, arriving late in the evening to be dropped off at your hotel or airport as you say farewell to the pearl of Africa. Meal plan: Breakfast and Lunch

Note#1 What to prepare for during the Gorilla trekking Activity
  • Bwindi impenetrable national park requires hiking; you should pace yourself and drink plenty of water.
  • Eating, drinking and smoking near the gorillas is forbidden. Your ranger guide will communicate designated time and place for such.
  • We encourage you to carry a rain poncho
  • Waterproof walking shoes or hiking boots are essential.
  • Gardening gloves for protection against stinging plants
  • Long trousers and long sleeved sweaters or shirts while in the forest to avoid insect stings.
  • Photography is permitted, although you must not use flash
  • Porters are available to help you carry your day pack for a minimum fee of $20 or UGX 50,000
Note#2 Important information

Gorilla trekking is dependent on the availability of permits at the time of your booking. Gorilla permits in all the national parks of Uganda and Rwanda are in high demand; we advise that you book your tour well in advance to avoid disappointment. If gorilla permits are not available for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, it’s possible to see the mountain gorillas at Mgahinga Gorilla National Park which is 7 kilometres from the town of Kisoro in Uganda.
