In the heart of Tanzania, nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley, lies the shimmering expanse of Lake Eyasi, a hidden gem of East Africa. For those seeking a truly immersive and eye-opening experience, our 3-Days Culture Safari in Lake Eyasi offers an unforgettable journey into the lives and traditions of the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes.
Early morning around 7:30 am we will pick you up at your accommodation. Tanzania and start our safari to Lake Eyasi which takes a maximum 4hr from Arusha city. We will arrive in time for lunch at the accommodation then we will join the Hadzbe community to gather varieties of wild fruits eg baobab fruits /yams from the ground and participate in building Hadzabe huts with women. Then proceed to the local people village to see the lifestyle then walk to see the onion plantation on the farms, study the irrigation system, and village forest you can find monkeys, baboons, and varieties of birds, we will drive to Lake Eyasi for flamingos, pelicans, and sunset than in evening back to your accommodation for dinner and overnight at Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge.
Early morning hunting and collecting honey with Hadzbe people from trees of small bee or big bees from 6 am to 11 am then, get back to the Hadzabe village for arrow making (sticks) bow practicing & targeting cultural Hadzabe dancing then get back to the lodge for hot lunch and rest at the accommodation until 3 pm. Then drive to see a blacksmith how to melt scrapers of copper, brass, and aluminum, then turn to bracelets, necklaces, making of arrowheads, etc., and go to then in the late evening back to your accommodation for dinner and overnight at Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge.
Early morning breakfast at 8.30 am, drive to the second group of Datoga family who are pastoralists to see the boma, experience lifestyle, the making of flour by grinding stones, women’s cultural dressings, milking of cows with women, cultural dancing, back to accommodation for lunch, then we start driving back to Arusha and transfer to your accommodation or Airport.
