Nyerere National Park was established in 2019 and covers an area of over 30 000 square kilometers. With its large wilderness area, Nyerere National Park has relatively undisturbed ecological and biological processes. Expect to encounter diverse wildlife with significant predator and prey relationships. The mighty Rufiji River, a designated photographic area, has a renowned population of hippos and crocodiles.
